Carl Jung, a psychologist, was one of the first to believe that dreams are a window into the conscious mind. He believed that our dreams had subtle meanings for us to interpret.
Sigmund Freud, who was Jung's mentor, thought that every dream was sexual in nature, but Jung didn't agree. Many symbols, according to Jung, had a deeper, universal meaning.
